Dear Rev. Fathers, Religious and Laity,
The month of October is dedicated to Our Lady of Rosary. In this month, our diocesan pilgrim centre, the parish of Karumathampatti is not celebrated as usual years due to the pandemic disease caused by Corona virus. There is a valuable tradition of the Church to pray the Rosary as a family at home during this month. The rosary is a summary of the Christian faith and has always enabled Christians to approach Jesus with Mary who “kept all these things in mind, treasuring them in heart.” The recitation of the rosary helps the individual to meditate on the mysteries of Lord’s life as seen through the eyes of who was closest to the Lord. May I request you, Fathers, to exhort your parishioners to recite the Rosary at home as a family in this month. We need always the intercession of Our Blessed Mother for our necessity.
I am very much delighted to inform you that in the month of September, three of our seminarians, Bro. JonySagayaraj, belonging to the parish of Mettupalayam, studying at St. Peter’s Pontifical Seminary, Bangalore, Bro. Nalla Jacob Dass, belonging to the parish of Kannampalayam, studying at Good Shepherd Seminary, Coimbatore and Bro. Rayappadass, belonging to the parish of Rathinapuri, studying at Sacred Heart Seminary, Chennai were ordained deacons at our Cathedral. Owing to the present situation, the participants were restricted. It was rather a private celebration. During this Eucharist the holy oils were blessed. You may get the oils at your convenience from Fr. Secretary.
With God’s blessings and assurance of prayers,
Yours devotedly in Christ Jesus,
+ L. Thomas Aquinas
